This policy covers the Swide iPhone app and swide.app. Read it together with our Terms of Use.

When we say “we,” “us,” or “our,” we mean the operator of Swide. Below we explain what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Photo library access: Swide needs permission to access your photo library so you can review and manage photos inside the app on your device. Core review and queue features run on your device. We do not upload your photos to our servers for processing unless we introduce a feature that does so and clearly disclose it at that time.
  • Subscription information: Purchases and entitlements are processed through Apple and may be managed with services such as RevenueCat (for example, to validate that your Pro subscription is active).
  • Device and app information: We may collect limited technical data such as app version, device type, operating system version, and (if you enable notifications) a notification token.
  • Contact information: If you email support or otherwise contact us, we may collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
  • Usage and diagnostics: We may collect limited analytics, error logs, and performance data to improve stability, fix issues, and understand how features are used in aggregate.

2. How we use information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and operate the Swide app and website.
  • Enable core features such as photo review, the deletion queue, subscription management, and optional notifications.
  • Respond to support requests and inquiries.
  • Improve performance, stability, usability, and future features.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect against abuse or misuse.

3. Photo library data

Swide accesses your photo library solely to provide the app’s core functionality. We do not sell your photos. We do not use your photos for advertising. Unless we explicitly state otherwise in a future feature and clearly disclose it at that time, your photos are not uploaded to our servers for processing.

4. Deletion actions

Swide lets you queue photos for deletion and confirm those deletions in a batch. Actual removal uses Apple-provided system APIs; iOS may require additional confirmation or route items through Recently Deleted according to Apple’s rules. You are responsible for reviewing your queue before you confirm.

5. Third-party services

We may use trusted service providers, including but not limited to:

  • Apple for app distribution, payments, and platform services.
  • RevenueCat for subscription management and related infrastructure.
  • Hosting, analytics, error monitoring, or other providers as needed to run and improve the service.

These third parties process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. Support messages, diagnostics, and technical records may be kept for a reasonable period.

7. Your choices

  • You can deny or revoke photo library access in iPhone Settings.
  • You can turn off notifications in device settings.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings.
  • You may contact us with questions about your data using the details below.

8. Children’s privacy

Swide is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International users

If you use Swide from outside the country where our systems operate, your information may be processed in other jurisdictions that have different data protection laws.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
